Ten kilometres (6 miles) west of the village of Sacré-Coeur on Route 172 lies huge Sainte-Marguerite Bay, where all summer long beluga whales can be observed from a viewpoint overlooking the fjord. The songs of the belugas are sure to enchant you! At the Beluga Discovery and Visitors Centre, visit the permanent exhibit, a fascinating source of information on these marine mammals, their history and the importance of protecting them and their natural environment. Naturalists host discovery activities, including an endangered species treasure hunt and a historical theatrical event. This sector of the park also offers a nature shop and a food counter that serves light, nutritious meals. Accessible to all hikers and cyclists, the trail to the lookout (a self-guided trail on the history of Bay Mill) is easy to climb. Wide and well-laid out, it winds through the undergrowth to the viewpoint overlooking Sainte-Marguerite Bay. Twenty-six campsites are also available.

Schedule: Daily, mid-May to mid-September, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; mid-September to mid-October, weekends only, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (trails and huts accessible until October 31).

Admission: Adults: $3.50; children: $1.50; families: $7.
